A note about our bitrate

Royal Groove should have a 128kbps stereo stream!

Actually, we would love to! But...a few reasons why we're sticking with the good old 48k mono for the moment. First of all streaming is less reliable at higher bitrates, especially for international listeners. Second, show downloads would take twice as long and would be over 100MB per show, and third, our hosting capacity would be much lower, because of the greater file size and bandwidth per show.

We squeeze as much sound quality as possible out of our 48kbps stream. Try listening to some other 64 or 56 kbps streams for a few hours and we think you'll agree.
