Eclecticism seems to be the key word is this Royal Groove edition, since there is not a conceptual approach that does hold rigidly to a single genre. Hard boogaloo jazz, soulful tuba, weird grooves from the Isle of Wright, a slight piece of p-funk, plus bits of spiritual soul jazz: we call that eclecticism.
It's all there, you just need to listen to it. And enjoy it, of course!
